 Figure 14.   vel the aquifer is pumped.  Salinity
can easily intrude into the aquifer if salty water reaches the outcrop area
near river mile 98--as it reaches the aquifer via the back door.  Even without
salty water in the Dealware River, the salt is gradually penetrating from
